Nail polish this week:
- Aqua by Billie Cosmetics
- Snow by Urban Outfitters
- Seche Vite Strengthener

HTML hit counter - Quick-counter.net

My current nails of the week! Sorry for all the late posts. Anyway, this green color was one of the two I bought when I went to the states two weekends ago with my family. I hadn`t used it yet, but the color is so super unique so I thought I should try it..
List of polishes used:
Forest by Urban Outfitters (the metallic olive)
Live On by Crush - Boathouse (the holographic gold glitter)
Seche Vite top coat
The glitter color, I had just purchased yesterday. I decided to try it on top of the olive color and I quite like it this way. I will see how difficult it is to remove the glitter. Hopefully not too bad, but we all know it`s a pain. Hah :)

Thirty-One Week Nail Challenge #9 - Rainbow Nails!
I had so many troubles trying to decide just what to do for this. I felt like actually putting a rainbow on my hands would be so tacky. My bestie suggested dots, and then she chose the colors and did one of my hands for me :)
List of polishes used:
Alpine Snow by OPI (the white)
20 Candles On My Cake by OPI (the red dots)
Atomic Orange by OPI (the orange dots)
Need Sunglasses? by OPI (the yellow dots)
Greenwich Village by OPI (the green dots)
Aqua by Billie Cosmetics (the blue dots)
It`s A Grape Fit by OPI (the purple dots)
Seche Vite top coat
I didn`t leave these on for long. I watched the last episode of an HK show my mom and dad and I had been watching on DVD, that resembles CSI. The victims of their last case all wore white nail polish. Made me just a tad paranoid! But these nails actually remind me of a pair of earrings I had when I was 15 that broke. Thanks, Gin.

For Chinese New Year, I didn`t have time to properly file my nails, so I apologize for the lack of shape really, to the nails. My bestie said the colors reminded her of lai-see (Chinese red envelopes). I guess that was what I was going for? :)
List of polishes used:
Firefox by Revlon (the bright red)
White by Art Deco (the white snowflakes)
Seche Vite top coat
I tried tips first, but thought the gold looked rather awful as a French tip. So I ended up just.. swiping it across instead. I will try this with a different color scheme and then decide whether or not I like this :)
Firefox by Revlon, by the way, is a matte shade. It`s beautiful when it`s matte, but for CNY, I kind of wanted it to shine. So I popped a top coat on, and it really did shine. This photo didn`t exactly capture it but it was late on a Sunday night when I snapped this.
Happy (belated) New Year, everyone!

Thirty-One Week Nail Challenge #8 - Metallic Nails!
I used a red metallic color for this look, but I originally intended to use a dark gray metallic color instead. It doesn`t matter which color you choose though :)
List of polishes used:
Harmony Frost by Sally Hansen (the metallic red)
Black by Art Deco (the stripes)
Seche Vite top coat
This Sally Hansen polish is from their old “Hard as Nails with Nylon” line. They repackaged it, and changed the line now so it may be very difficult to find this color. I really liked this line, I`m still unsure why they replaced it. The new line has really unappealing packaging and the line seems to only have nudes and pinks now.

I apologize, I have gone MIA in terms of nails. I have the photos, but my laptop is being used my brother… Long story. I have mostly been occupied as of late, with school and trying to get enough sleep.. And still find time for a life outside of school and home. ANYWAY, so here is a tag and someone`s gorgeous nail design instead!
Here are the questions!
What’s your favorite nail polish company?
I don`t know if I have one. I obviously own a lot of OPI and a lot of Revlon, but I find that OPI isn`t consistent and neither is Revlon. Currently it would have to be American Apparel, I suppose because their polishes are so super opaque!
Glitter or no glitter?
I like glitter in moderation, and usually for certain occasions. Like the holidays and New Year`s, you will see glitter on my nails. Otherwise, I`m just in the mood because glitter is so difficult to remove!
OPI, China Glaze, or Essie?
China Glaze. The quality of these three lines are all very comparable, and China Glaze by far is the most consistent in their polishes. I also tend to like their color selection more, they have a lot more variety. Here in Vancouver though, I find it hard to get a hold of China Glaze at a decent price :(
When do you change your nail polish?
Once a week, typically. More or less often depending on if I have time or if I`m, again, in the mood. It distracts me when I`m stressed mostly, so you may see me change my nails more often around finals.
What’s your favorite color on your nails?
That`s a toughy! Surprise surprise though, it would have to be a nude or near-clear color. I like enhancing my natural nail shapes and color rather than covering them up with lacquer. BUT I can`t deny that I rarely keep them that way!
Darks or Brights?
Definitely the darks. Very rarely will you see me wear a bright, but I love my darks. Dark blue or purple tends to be my go-to color when I want to paint mine or my bestie`s nails.
What are you wearing on your nails right this moment?
I am wearing Urban Outfitter’s Forest right now, this is a gold color with a very evident green tint in it. I actually might call this a metallic gold-olive color. And on my ring finger, I have also applied a coat of Crush’s Live On. It`s a very bling, and almost holographic gold glitter.
Matte Nails—In or Out?
I don`t think they`re in or out. Depends on my mood, I will wear matte nails when I feel like it. But that is pretty rare in it`s self.
French Manicure?
LOVE French Mani`s. So classy, so simple and just so pretty. I love doing my French manicure with slanted tips, and of course never usually the plain white tips. I like using colors!
Favorite Winter Color?
Unfortunate that winter is coming to an end. But my favorite winter color is most likely The Color to Watch by OPI. This is a purple blue color that I love to paint on my bestie`s gorgeous nails.
